Day 14, Saturday, July 19 - Another day in Oxford.

After a full day's trip to Blenheim Palace the previous day, we spent Saturday at Oxford. The first part of class was spent on writing in our journals. Afterwards we wrote our second essay on Charles Darwin and evolution. By the time we finished our essays, it was time for lunch. There was a wedding at the college today, so the dinning hall was already in use for lunch and dinner.  Thus today was our last packed lunch.  After lunch, we were given another scavenger hunt. The first part of our scavenger hunt took us to the Oxford Science Museum, which contained many different types of telescopes, microscopes, and many other tools. We then went to Blackwell's Book Store, the next stop on our scavenger hunt. This was my favorite part of this hunt, as I liked looking at the different kinds of maps they had. After looking through Blackwell's, we then headed on to another college in Oxford,  Balliol College. I enjoyed looking through the college's huge dining hall and cathedral. We then headed back to Brasenose College after we had finished our scavenger hunt. After we ate dinner at Nando's Chicken, we went to watch the movie Boyhood. I enjoyed the movie, and thought it was interesting that the movie was filmed over twelve years. After the movie, since it ended at midnight we headed straight to Brasenose College and went to sleep.

Area outside the main gate of the college becomes quite busy on a Saturday morning with all of the tours.
