Today we arrived at London Heathrow
around 8:30 AM. After everyone received
their bags and got through customs, our driver, Paul, picked us up. Once we
loaded up the van, we started our trip to Oxford and Brasenose College. After about an hour of driving in the British
countryside, we arrived at the college. The
welcome crew showed us to our rooms and we had some down time to relax and
clean-up. At 1:30 pm the group gathered
to eat lunch in the “Medieval Kitchen” dining room. They served a salad, chicken and rice, and
some chips (fries). Then we had some more time to unpack and organize before
our walking tour of the northern part of Oxford. Mr. Kendall and Mr. Reid
showed us different colleges, parks and even Mr. Kendall’s old middle school.
After that we had some time to tour the stores in downtown Oxford before
dinner. Tonight we will meet for welcome dinner at the college together, and then we
will get some well-deserved sleep.
